Ibrani 2:17-18

2:17 Therefore he had ¹  to be made like his brothers and sisters ²  in every respect, so that he could become a merciful and faithful high priest in things relating to God, to make atonement ³  for the sins of the people. 2:18 For since he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are tempted.

Ibrani 4:14-16

Jesus Our Compassionate High Priest

4:14 Therefore since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast to our confession. 4:15 For we do not have a high priest incapable of sympathizing with our weaknesses, but one who has been tempted in every way just as we are, yet without sin. 4:16 Therefore let us confidently approach the throne of grace to receive mercy and find grace whenever we need help. ⁴ 

Ibrani 8:1-3

The High Priest of a Better Covenant

8:1 Now the main point of what we are saying is this: ⁵  We have such a high priest, one who sat down at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven, ⁶  8:2 a minister in the sanctuary and the true tabernacle that the Lord, not man, set up. 8:3 For every high priest is appointed to offer both gifts and sacrifices. So this one too had to have something to offer.
